Mexico City • Oct 8 - 11

We are excited to enjoy this wedding with you! Find information below about currency, weather, airport transfers and more.
You'll fly into Mexico City’s international airport (MEX – Aeropuerto Internacional Benito Juárez), about 30 minutes from the hotel depending on traffic. The airport has two terminals, each with clearly marked ride-share pickup zones. When using Uber, the app will ask you to select your terminal and pickup door (Puerta), which are clearly marked outside arrivals. You can also follow signs at arrivals to grab a yellow taxi.
Ubers are well reasonably priced in CDMX and you can use them get around the city easily and safely. We will have shuttles to transport to and from the hotel for the Sangeet, and Wedding / Reception events. Being a major city, small distances can take time due to traffic, so we kindly ask you "allow more time, to be on time"
Canada, USA and UK passport holders do not need a VISA for stays up to 180 days. If your passport is from another country for your travel, please check VISA requirements before booking your flight.
The currency in Mexico is the Mexican Peso (MXN). While credit cards are almost universally accepted in Mexico City, consider bringing or taking out some Pesos (you'll need it for street tacos!). There are also plenty of ATMs, including in the airport, in hotels and across the city.
October is typically warm and dry in Mexico City, with average daytime temperatures around 21-24°C and cooler evenings around 11-14°C.
The neighborhoods that you will be frequenting (Centro, Reforma, Condesa, Roma), are considered to be safe. You should feel safe walking around in the day and evenings. Beyond that, Mexico City is just like any other large city - be smart, be respectful, and be aware.
